Cortexo is a private company based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
The name is derived from the cerebral cortex, a structure within the brain that plays a key role in memory, attention, perceptual awareness, thought, language, and consciousness. (See the Wikipedia entry). We see our LiveHMI service as providing the same services for distributed machinery as the cerebral cortex provides for the human brain.
