The In Advance Programme is used for planned demand management events. It gives flexibility suppliers early notice that a demand change is expected, usually several days ahead. Details such as timing and load adjustment are confirmed closer to the event, often the evening before it starts.
This helps electricity distributors prepare for peak periods and manage demand smoothly.
*Note: Event Active Period refers to the period of time during which a change in the load profile is being requested as part of a DF event (definition from OpenADR programme guide).
